CALL FOR ENTRIES - Open to OSA Members

The Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) welcomes OSA Members to participate in our annual Members Exhibition of Selected Works (MESW) which will be an online Exhibition this year beginning September 18, 2020.   Our show, which was originally scheduled to be held at the Gallery of the Etobicoke Civic Centre, will now be an on-line exhibition on the advice of the gallery staff at the ECC.

 

 

IMPORTANT DATES
 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Saturday August 29, 2020

EXHIBTION DATES: September 18 to October 9, 2020

Entry Fee is $30.00

One submission per artist

The $30.00 entry fee will cover the costs for your MESW catalogue. Your copy will be distributed at the General Meeting in November at the Arts
and Letters Club, Toronto.

 

Please ensure you carefully review our Terms of Entry before you complete and pay for your submission.

 

Eligibility
 

The competition is open to all elected members of the OSA in good standing.

Artists may submit work in any two or three-dimensional media, with a limit of one artwork per artist.

Artwork previously exhibited in other OSA juried shows is not eligible.

Work must have been completed after January 1, 2018.

 

Presentation and Qualification

All works MUST be original art. Entries must not be copies or derivatives.

NOTE: Images must be of a professional standard. We reserve the right to reject images that do not meet the standard. Submission fee will not be refunded.

Please follow the instructions carefully for formatting your entry because your image(s) will be used for both the online gallery and for the exhibition's printed catalogue.

• Submit only 1 image for 2 dimensional artworks
• Submit up to 3 images for 3 dimensional artworks
• The images you upload must be under 4mb and a maximum of 4800px on the longest side. 
• Your image needs to be print-ready for the MESW catalogue so please ensure that it is saved in JPEG format, in RGB or sRGB colour mode at 300 DPI so it will print clearly. 
• Images must be clear, accurate and not distorted, colour adjusted or hidden by uneven or reflected light. Images must show only the work, not the frame or anything beyond or in front of the work.
• For video or electronic work, prepare a still image and a .mov format. 
• When providing dimensions or size for your work please use inches only.   There is a field labelled Physical Dimensions (cm) but please use inches in that field.

Sales

You may choose to list your work for sale. 

There will be no commission to the OSA for this show.

Purchasers will be asked to contact the individual artists directly.

 

Acceptances

All submissions which meet these guidelines will be accepted.  

Acceptances will be sent by e-mail.
